The George Inn

Ambiance: 8.5/10
• It was decorated really nicely and felt homey and warm. It was relaxing and comfortable where we were sitting. The staff were very friendly and kind. There was gentle music in the background, that wasn’t too loud. There was a nice noise level, again, not too loud and it was quite busy as we went in the afternoon. It was clean and tidy and the tables weren’t sticky.

Food: Sandwiches: 5/10 (plenty of filling but the bread was a little dry).
Cakes: 9/10 (there was a lovely selection that anyone can enjoy).
Scones: 8/10 (very nice and came out warm and fresh, but there was no variety, only raisin. There was also plenty of cream and jam but we had to ask for the butter!!!).

Drinks: 9/10 (no children drink section in the afternoon tea menu. The sizes were great. Would’ve preferred teacups rather than mugs),

Price: £15 per person for a full afternoon tea (scones, sandwiches and cakes) and £23 with a glass of champagne.
Overall: 25.5/30

Once it’s scone, it’s scone
